​‘’Canine Connection’’ is on the natural connection of loyalty and trust fond between an assistance dog and their owner. Wanting an organic approach, the images were photographed in as natural a way as possible allowing them free range of the studio to move about and used gentle conversation to help them feel comfortable. The images focus more on their connection and close bond as a team rather than on his role or tasks he performs as an assistance dog. The images aim to show their unique connection and solitary intimacy. Soft lighting was used to increase the gentle and tender feel, while shadows were used to lessen distractions and add a feeling of alone that the owner has experienced with her connection.
